Mit Theater, Literatur und einer Demokratie-Lehrstunde beginnen die 12. Europ\u00e4ischen Toleranzgespr\u00e4che am kommenden Mittwoch nachmittag (20. Mai) im Rathaus der Stadt Villach (Paracelsussaal). Im Mittelpunkt der Dialogveranstaltung steht heuer die Frage, in welcher Form Widerstand gegen Unrecht und Manipulation in Politik und Wirtschaft zum Erfolg f\u00fchrt. Programm und Tickets sind online und vor Ort erh\u00e4ltlich. <\/strong>www.fresach.org<\/span><\/p>\n

“Widerstand und Verantwortung” lautet der Titel der Toleranzgespr\u00e4che 2026, und auch in diesem Jahr kommen wieder \u00fcber 40 Expert:innen aus Literatur und Philosophie, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft zu Wort. Die Diskussionspanels werden sich mit der Frage befassen, wie Demokratie und Grundrechte, Meinungs- und Informationsfreiheit gegen Hassreden und falsche Propaganda am besten verteidigt werden, wie Widerstand am besten organisiert wird, ohne eine problematische Lage weiter zu verschlechtern.<\/p>\n

20. Mai: Toleranzforum in Villach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das Vorprogramm im Rathaus Villach wird vom K\u00e4rntner SchriftstellerInnenverband (KSV) organisiert \u2013 mit einem kurzen B\u00fchnenst\u00fcck von Clemens Luderer (“KI AMOK”) zum Auftakt und einer Diskussion \u00fcber neue Spielregeln GEGEN die digitale Gewalt im Anschluss, zu der sich zahlreiche Schulklassen aus ganz K\u00e4rnten angemeldet haben. Danach folgt eine Literaturrunde mit Anna Baar und Antonio Fian \u00fcber die Macht der Worte und die Verantwortung der Sprache. (Paracelsussaal 14 \u2013 20 Uhr)<\/p>\n

21. Mai: Europaforum in Fresach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das Europaforum in Fresach wird vom Historiker und Autor Doron Rabinovici er\u00f6ffnet, der in seiner Festrede “Vom ewigen Widerstand” auf die Notwendigkeit der Verteidigung demokratischer Grundrechte eingehen wird. Im Anschluss diskutiert eine hochkar\u00e4tige Politikrunde die Folgen der Ungarn-Wahl und die Frage, wie weit Widerstand gehen darf, ohne die Gesellschaft zu spalten. Ein Theologie-Panel am Nachmittag ist dem Thema “Widerstand und Feindesliebe” gewidmet. (Toleranzzentrum, ab 9 Uhr)<\/p>\n

22. Mai: Wirtschaftsforum in Fresach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das Wirtschaftsforum am Freitag wird sich mit dem Dilemma von Unternehmen zwischen volatilen M\u00e4rkten und erratischen M\u00e4chten befassen. Digitalexperten, Startup-Gr\u00fcnderinnen und Konfliktmanagement-BeraterInnen diskutieren hier \u00fcber die besten Strategien im Umgang mit BigTech, B\u00fcrokratie und politischer Bevormundung. Das Nachmittagspanel behandelt die “Rechte der Natur” und die Frage, ob wir vom anthropozentrischen Weltbild Abschied nehmen m\u00fcssen. (Toleranzzentrum, ab 9 Uhr)<\/p>\n

Die Europ\u00e4ischen Toleranzgespr\u00e4che <\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Europ\u00e4ischen Toleranzgespr\u00e4che finden seit 2015 allj\u00e4hrlich zu Pfingsten statt und behandeln gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen und politische Bildung zu Fragen der sozialen Integration, Demokratie und Menschenrechte. Die Gespr\u00e4che haben ihren Ursprung in den Fresacher Schriftstellertagungen, die von 1972 bis 1996 unter der \u00c4gide des K\u00e4rntner SchriftstellerInnenverbands stattfanden. Sie werden vom Land K\u00e4rnten, der Stadt Villach, dem Kulturministerium, und der Evangelische Kirche unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n
